The karstic landscapes are special areas of the Earth with a unique relief, usually rough and fierce, where the stone dominates and the lack of water and soil. Environments and habitats are usually extreme and separate, just like the forms of life they encounter. Whether it's surface forms of relief such as plateaus, dolines, sinks and other similar forms, whether underground such as caves and dragonflies that fascinate the visitor and stand out for the unique landscapes they offer. The dissolution of Psiloritis limestone, dolomite and marble, especially in its mountainous zone, has created a multitude of such forms and landscapes that characterize the relief of the mountain and determine to the utmost extent the appearance of life in all its aspects: from the small beetle Until the man himself. The "scenic landscapes of Psiloritis", if we leave for the moment the caves and the scrublands that exist all over the park, are related to surface cavities of various dimensions, such as small ditches (arolites and pots), sinks and burials to the big plateaus , Nida and Petradolaki. In many areas the complete lack of soil and the oppression of the landscape by the hard limestone rock form landscapes spectacularly and impressively. The "craters" in Kourou and in the area of ??Skinaka evoke and continue to create myths about the "volcanoes" of Psiloritis, which are far from the reality. In the "mysterious landscapes of Psiloritis" the visitor will experience all these forms and will be ecstatic by the unique landscape and the wealth of life he will encounter. B1. Nida Plateau - Nida plateau Nida Plateau is the highest plateau of Crete with an average altitude of 1360 meters. It is essentially a polk created by the karstic disruption and the union of neighboring, smaller cavities. Like the neighboring plateaus of Petradolakia, the plateau of Nida is formed in the contact between the two large carbonate units of "Placid limestones" and "Tripolis", where the impenetrable Rock formations of the "Calcareous limestone" and small appearances of the "Phyllites-Halazites". An important role in its creation, however, was played by the great rupture that delineates the eastern slopes of Psiloritis and the plateau at the same time. The rupture plunges the plateau area relative to Psiloritis, creating conditions for more water and the greatest dissolution of the rocks. The entrance of the Idaho Andro cave lies directly on the fault that is the cause of its revelation. Also, many sinks from which water is lost inside the earth exist in the northern part of the plateau that seems to have sank more due to the fault. The image of the plateau varies depending on the season. Whether covered in snow or clouds in the winter, or green with various potions and wildflowers in the spring, or red maples in the summer, or only with the gray calcareous rock in the autumn, Nida fascinates. Nowadays there is mainly livestock activity in Nida, but the redness of the plateau was a fertile ground for the sowing of cereals. The presence of water is, albeit little, capable of conserving ecosystems, but also human activities. The most important sources are Varsamos at the south end, the Lord Jesus Christ next to the Idao Andros and Romana a little northerly. At the various corners of the plateau, the characteristic features of the shepherd's goat give the human, in all its aspects, touch in the virgin landscape of the mountain. From the small ravines that start or end up on the plateau, one can climb to the top of Psiloritis, descend to the forest of Rouvas, or admire, from the natural balcony, the plain of Messara. B2. Ideo Andro Idaho Andro is located on the edge of the Nida Plateau, on the steep east slope of Psiloritis, which creates the great ruin of the area. Its entrance is on the rift, while inside the cave there appear parallel surfaces of the fault. At the entrance of the cave, which is slightly downhill with a large room afterwards, but also within it appear folds of "Placid limestone". The cave, though geologically, is not impressive since it lacks a beautiful and large-scale development, has enormous archaeological and cultural value. Mythology brings Cretan Jupiter to find shelter in the cave as a newborn to escape from the anger of Father Saturn. The native warriors Kourites covered the cry of the baby with their cries, while the Amalthea goat nursed her until she grew up. The archaeological research of Prof. G. Sakellarakis confirmed, with the multitude of findings he brought to light, the fact that the idiom was the greatest worshiping country
