Otherwise called “slate plates”, they are natural plates and their quarrying takes place in Pelion, from ancient times until today.
Their form and thickness vary, with most common sizes being between 1.5-2.5 cm. and 2.5-4.0 cm.
They are used outdoors and indoors, depending on the selection and can also be used in roofs, flooring and wall coverings.
Their colours comprise earthy shades of brown -gray with many fossils the rock brings out, as they are natural and no two of them bear absolute similarity.
This, after all, is the unique beauty of Pelion plates.
